Valindra'sTower - Tactic explained

On this thread I will quickly take you through the steps of the Valindra's Tower dungeon tactics.

Party set up recommendation
Weak group- Tank + Healer + 3 DPS.
Medium group - Tank/Healer + 4 DPS.
Strong group- 5 DPS possible.

Class recommendation
Weak to Medium group - Tank, CW, HR or TR for crowd control.

First boss
Don't die.

Last boss
Weak to Medium group - Use tactic explained below.
Medium to Strong group - Burn the boss as is, but still use tactic to avoid ghosts explained below.

Valindra boss tactics
The bossfight exists out of 3 phases, each separated by a AoE (area of effect) round, for a total of 2.

First phase - Chase, avoid AoE and attack Valindra as is until she spawns into the middle.

AoE phase - Valindra summons a carousel/wheel like AoE on the floor, lightning that will one shot nearly anyone. On top of that ghosts that drain AP (actions points) and HP (health points) are chasing players randomly. It is important everyone moves clockwise to avoid the lightning and ghosts. If players run in opposite directions they can get each other stuck in between each other ghosts. Survive till this phase ends.

Second phase - Same as the first phase, but with added mechanics. Valindra will now spawn two more things; One is a hand that chokes a player randomly, destroy the had as soon as possible. Two are caskets that produce adds, these need to be destroyed before the add has emerged from it. To do this; run to the casket, press F and wait for it to explode, then go to the next casket if needed.

(To make the second phase go smoothly, for weaker teams you need to assign placement on the field. Read below on how to do this.)

AoE phase - Another AoE phase but slightly longer, use same tactic and survive.

Third phase - This is the last phase, Valindra will spawn so many caskets that there is not enough time closing all of them. Your goal is kill Valindra as fast as you can before the adds emerge from the caskets. If they do before Valindra dies, control and lead them away from the boss if possible until Valindra dies.

How to assign field placement
When a team is weak on dps they need to close caskets frequently, the most efficient way to do this is to assign spots.
The players must look at the field and imagine a clock. The door where you enter being number 6 and the alter behind Valindra being 12, the snake on the wall is 3 and the banner is 9. Four of your party members will choose a quarter of the clock/field to cover clockwise.



For example: Someone chooses 12-3. This means the player is responsible for the caskets in between 12 and 3. When Valindra summons the caskets they start at 12 and then run to 3, closing any caskets in between.

The fifth party member cannot be assigned a quarter, this member floats around to help closing caskets anywhere that is necessary. It is best to give a floating position to someone that is fast (not a tank), so they can help out quickly when necessary.

Boss skills
- Teleportation.
- Valindra grabs someone nearby and chokes them for several seconds, then throws them away.
- Summons a AoE on the floor that drains all AP and deals damage.
- Summons hand to choke a party member randomly, dealing DoT (damage over time) until the hand is destroyed.
- Summons caskets that produce adds, unless they are destroyed in time.
