| NWLC ALLIANCE - CODE OF CONDUCT
***Version 1.0***
We will check now and then for any updates, but if you want to see the code of conduct for yourself go here to sign up and ask for permission to the NWLC Alpha forums.
1. All NWLC Alliances are an extension of the NW_Legit_Community (NWLC) itself and, as such, reflect upon the NW_Legit_Community. All Guilds which are in an NWLC Alliance are considered to be a part of the NW_Legit_Community and, as such, are allied with the Community itself. Directly following from this, all allied guilds and their respective members should, at all times, make every reasonable effort to ensure their guild and members reflect and uphold the values of the NW_Legit_Community – After-all, the NW_Legit_Community is what has brought us together and, is the one single common value and perspective we all share to some degree as players of Neverwinter.
2. Where applicable, all NWLC Alliance members should adhere to both the general Neverwinter/PWE Terms of Service, (ToS), and/or the Forum Rules of Conduct, (RoC).
3. All NWLC Alliances are, both individually and cumulatively, aspects of a whole. As such, regardless of which alliance you may be in, all members should consider members of other NWLC Alliances to be members of the same alliance and entitled to the same respect, consideration and courtesy.
4. Guild Leaders and Officers of any guild within any of our NWLC Alliances should be treated with the same courtesy, respect and consideration as if they were a Guild Leader or Officer of your guild.
5. Guild Leaders and Officers have the authority to moderate any member of any Guild in the Alliance chat or in an Alliance organised event if they believe that member is acting inappropriately and should follow the steps in the Dispute Resolution Procedure. In this instance, Guild Leaders and Officers interpret and enforce these Alliance rules as they deem appropriate given the circumstances and with respect to a common understanding of these rules. Placing a Guild Leader or Officer on ignore will be considered inappropriate conduct and sufficient grounds for further action to be taken – After-all, how can an Officer help to moderate the chat if people will ignore them?
6. Discussions of and, taking part in, exploits, cheats, or other abuses of the game engine/functions/etc. are strictly prohibited; If you feel you have uncovered a potential exploit or flaw in the game, please submit a support ticket about it in-game or contact Support. What is or is not an exploit is at the discretion of PWE/Cryptic and/or Guild Leaders/Officers. A general rule to use when attempting to identify whether something is an exploit is to consider: Is the result a benefit which was unintended by the developers? If the result provides a benefit which was not intended and/or likely to be intended, then it may very well likely be an exploit. If anyone wishes to test a bug etc. which may provide an unintended benefit, such testing should be done on the Preview server rather than on the Live server.
7. There is to be no "naming and shaming" in the Alliance; whether in Alliance chat, Alliance organised event Groups and Parties etc. - this includes no naming and shaming of players, guilds, the 'devs', channel moderators, PWE/Cryptic and/or their volunteers and staff, and/or any other persons or entities, as determined by the Alliance Guild Leaders and Officers. If you have an issue with a person or persons, please contact a GM, file a support ticket in-game or contact Support and, if the player is a member of one of the guilds within one of the NWLC Alliances, please follow the steps outlined in the Dispute Resolution Procedure.
8. Discrimination based upon and, topics regarding, race, religion, nationality, or sexual orientation are strictly prohibited. Ageism and/or discussions of disabilities are similarly off limits. Additionally, discussions relating to topics of a sexual, criminal, or drug-related nature are not permitted. Keep chat at a 'PG' level and remember that some members of our Alliances are children.
9.[/color] The use of profanities is not encouraged but, may be permitted only if they are spelled correctly, used sparingly/infrequently and are not directed at others. Circumventing the profanity filter is prohibited.

| 10. You are free to form a team however you wish, but any sort of overt or inappropriate exclusionary behaviour, such as talking down to other players or otherwise rude behaviour, will not be permitted. Alliance members should treat one-another with patience and understanding. Any form of personal attack or abuse will not be tolerated. When recruiting for a party/group, members should recruit for a role (i.e. Tank/DPS/Healer etc.) rather than for specific classes and builds as, recruiting for specific classes/builds is considered to be an exclusionary practice.
11. You may discuss Gear Score (GS) / Average Item Level (AIL) in a constructive manner in relation to dungeon requirements, builds or similar, yet do not discuss GS/AIL in a manner that may be condescending, derogatory, exclusionary, demeaning and/or offensive.
12. Advertising / recruiting for players or parties is encouraged, however spamming in the Alliance channel and / or other Alliance chat is prohibited. You may advertise that you are looking for a team, or looking for more members for your team, but spread said requests out to a reasonable time between posts such as once every two minutes, dependent upon how busy the chat is. Please refrain from posting in all capitals as this is considered ‘yelling’ and rarely appropriate. You may ask your game-related questions in Alliance related channels, but again, be sure to space out your requests and, don't get indignant if you do not get a response. You are permitted to use any Alliance chat to trade yet please ensure that such posts are not more frequent than once every two minutes. At all times, neither the Alliance as a whole, Guilds in the Alliance and/or NWLC are, in any way, responsible for what may occur when trading within the Alliance. Members who do so are solely responsible for their decision to participate in trading within the Alliance and, do so at their own risk. Guild advertising and recruitment is not permitted. Channel advertising may be permitted yet please first seek the approval of your Guild Leader before doing so as Guild Leaders will be responsible for the approval of any inappropriate channels which are advertised. Guild Leaders can feel free to contact either @damnacious or, if necessary, @biostem to clarify which channels may not be appropriate.
13. Discussion and debate is allowed if it is constructive, considerate and civil. If you have a disagreement with another player where you can't or won't be constructive, considerate and civil then please take said discussion out of the Alliance chat. If you disagree with the actions of a Guild Leader or Officer who is attempting to moderate an Alliance chat, then please discuss it with them by private message and do not discuss it in the Alliance chat channels, including Alliance formed groups and parties.
14. You may provide constructive criticism regarding the game or its mechanics, but if said discussion ceases to be constructive, you are to end that conversation in an Alliance chat. "Pay to Win" or "P2W" discussions are henceforth deemed to be un-constructive, and as such, are prohibited.
15. There is no official loot policy for any NWLC Alliance group/party - Please discuss terms with your team and adhere to whatever is decided. It is recommended that all parties establish clear loot policies before commencing any content.
16. If a Guild Leader/Officer has taken action towards you or another member that you believe should be reviewed, you can contact one of your Guild Officers/Leaders and broach the issue with them.
17. If you observe inappropriate behaviour or misconduct regarding a member of an NWLC Alliance, please follow the steps outlined in the Dispute Resolution Procedure.
18. By being a member of a guild within an NWLC Alliance, you explicitly and unreservedly agree to abide by, uphold and, respect, these rules.
