How to bind a custom chat channel to a keybind

If you dislike the (long) name of custom chat channels you joined and want to bind it to a key or make it shorter you can use the following.

/alias YourKey ChannelName or /bind Key channel_setcurrent ChannelName

Example - /alias tdbp TrueDragonBlood_Party - You can now write /tdbp to write in this channel.

Example - /bind u channel_setcurrent TrueDragonBlood_Party - When you press "u" you will now write in this channel.

Note this keybind only applies to 1 character and might not save after you closed the current game session. You will have to write it again next session.

If you rather save a keybind for all your characters and each game session do the following below.

Make a .txt file (open Notepad), Write alias YourKey ChannelName and save the file to your desktop naming it CommandAliases. Then move the .txt file to \Neverwinter\Live\localdata on your Local Disk.

Tutorial:

Thanks to LadyWhiteTiger, Eowyn and Janne Moonmist from Neverwinter_Legit_Community for helping out.

What's the notation if I want to use the numpad keys? Is it even possible to do so (using numpad_7 to bind to a channel while keeping the normal keyboard 7 bound to using my mount?

Thanks, I got it answered... For everybody having the same question: the notation is numpad#
e.g.
/bind numpad 7 channel_setcurrent Guild

So now I have numpad 7 on party, 8 on Guild and 9 on legit smile
